Spirit AeroSystems has announced it will furlough 700 workers for a duration of 21 days due to the continued labor strike by Boeing machinists. This decision comes as the strike, now entering its sixth week, has significantly impacted the supply chain, forcing major suppliers like Spirit AeroSystems to take such difficult measures. The CEO of Spirit AeroSystems stated that this step was necessary to cope with the ongoing challenges presented by the Boeing strike, which has also prompted the FAA to initiate a new safety review of Boeing.
