The U.S. has announced an emergency release of 172 million barrels, aiming to stabilize soaring gas prices and combat a three-decade low in oil stockpiles. This decision aligns with an International Energy Agency (IEA) initiative to collectively release 400 million barrels, with Canada contributing 23.6 million barrels to the effort. Despite these measures, oil prices remain remarkably high, raising concerns about their effectiveness.
