A devastating bus accident in southern Peru has resulted in the deaths of at least 37 people after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine. The incident occurred near Ocoña in the Arequipa region during a midnight journey through the Andes. Reports indicate that the bus collided with another vehicle before veering off the road and falling approximately 700 feet into a gorge. In addition to the fatalities, at least 24 others have been reported injured, marking this incident as one of the deadliest bus crashes in recent memory in the region.
