Former President Donald Trump expressed his discontent after not being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming he deserves the honor and has been overlooked for what he calls an ‘indelible stain’ on Norway. Trump referred to his past achievements and criticized the Nobel committee’s decision to honor South African human rights lawyer Navi Pillay, who was awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts in promoting peace and international law. In his remarks, Trump labeled Pillay a ‘hater of America and Israel’ and questioned her recognition, further fueling the debate about the credibility of the Nobel Peace Prize. Meanwhile, Pillay dedicated her award to survivors of international crime, emphasizing the significance of justice and human rights in today’s global landscape.
