Authorities in Linn County are searching for a deer hunter after a tragic incident resulting in the death of a 54-year-old man near Sweet Home. The victim, a father of five, was reportedly struck by a bullet fired by the hunter, which also pierced the family home. Despite efforts to locate the shooter, he allegedly field-dressed a deer and left the scene afterward. Deputies have confirmed that the bullet which killed the man is believed to have come from a hunting rifle. This incident has raised concerns about safety in the rural community.
