Airbnb has announced significant changes to its checkout policies, relieving guests from mandatory chores such as washing dishes and stripping beds. The new global rules aim to limit the cleaning responsibilities hosts can impose on guests, a move that has sparked considerable backlash from some hosts. Many Airbnb hosts express frustration, claiming these changes may lead to higher rental prices and a decline in the quality of service. The policy adjustments are a response to guest complaints about excessive cleaning demands, with Airbnb emphasizing the importance of a positive guest experience.
