An Oregon college student, recently held at knifepoint by his brother, managed to escape and seek help, only to be shot five times by police officers responding to the situation. The student is now filing a lawsuit against the Albany police for what he claims was an excessive use of force. Surveillance footage from the scene has emerged, contributing to the ongoing investigation into the incident. The lawsuit highlights allegations that the police mistook the unarmed student for a threat during the chaotic response to the domestic violence call.
