Negotiations between the US and Iran have reached a stalemate, despite ongoing mediation efforts from Qatar. Recent discussions have yielded little progress, with both sides unwilling to make concessions, raising fears of renewed conflict. Qatar is actively working to bridge the divide, proposing economic interdependence as a potential solution. Officials are warning that Iran may be miscalculating its position, particularly concerning the US political landscape, while the economic toll of the ongoing war remains unbearable. As tensions continue, Gulf states are expressing the need for a reset in relations with Iran to stabilize the region.
