Severe Air Quality Alerts Issued Across U.S. Due to Canadian Wildfire Smoke
Thick smoke from numerous wildfires in Canada is severely affecting air quality across many U.S. states, prompting rare air quality alerts. Minnesota has issued a maroon warning, indicating hazardous conditions that could affect all individuals. Residents are advised to stay indoors and keep windows closed. Over 200,000 people across three states have been instructed to limit outdoor activities as smoky skies continue to linger, with air quality expected to worsen in the coming days. States including Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and South Carolina are also experiencing advisories as the smoke spreads, creating hazy conditions and increasing humidity.
