Kevin Howell Appointed as NC State’s 15th Chancellor
North Carolina State University has officially announced the appointment of Kevin Howell as its 15th chancellor. Howell, an alumnus of NC State and the first Black student body president, will succeed Randy Wood. His position is set to begin on May 5, with a salary of $600,000. Howell’s election marks a historic moment for the university, making him the first Black individual to hold this position. As a graduate of NC State, Howell is expected to lead the Wolfpack nation into a new chapter.
