Intensifying US Airstrikes Target Houthi-Controlled Areas in Yemen

Recently, a series of suspected US airstrikes have pummelled Houthi-controlled areas across Yemen, particularly in the capital, Sanaa. Reports indicate that Houthis have suffered heavy losses due to these airstrikes, which are said to be more intense than previous operations. As the US ramped up its campaign against the Iran-backed group, the strikes have reportedly killed at least two more people in Sanaa and led to significant damage, including hits on a cancer hospital. Experts warn that airstrikes alone will not dislodge the Houthis, and amidst ongoing conflict, advocacy groups have criticized the attacks as unconstitutional. Despite these heavy bombardments, the Houthis assert they remain resilient and continue to retaliate against U.S. and Israeli targets.
