Recent drone attacks in the Black Sea have resulted in multiple incidents involving commercial vessels, with one ship reported sunk and crew members currently missing off the coast of Bulgaria. Bulgarian authorities are actively searching for sailors after the latest strikes targeted two ships in the region. Notably, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria has condemned the attacks as a blatant violation of international law, while the European Commission has expressed concern over the safety of maritime operations in the area. Amidst escalating tensions related to the ongoing conflict involving Ukraine, these incidents have prompted discussions about security measures among NATO allies, as well as calls for accountability regarding the actions taken in the Black Sea. Rescue operations have been initiated, leading to the recovery of some crew members amidst the chaos.
