Evacuations Intensify as Wildfires Rage Across Utah
Multiple wildfires in Utah, notably the Iron Fire and Sawmill Fire, have led to widespread evacuations and emergency measures as flames consume thousands of acres. The Iron Fire, currently threatening the town of Eureka, has expanded to over 13,000 acres, prompting the complete evacuation of the area. In addition to Eureka, ranches and cabins in surrounding regions are also being evacuated due to the rapid spread of flames fueled by shifting winds. Meanwhile, the Sawmill Fire in Iron County has surpassed 2,000 acres and is continuing to grow, affecting nearby communities. Smoke from these fires is impacting air quality across Utah, stretching even into parts of Nevada and Arizona. Residents report feelings of nervousness as they face the threat of approaching wildfires.
