College Sports Commission Approves Nearly $80 Million in NIL Deals
The newly established College Sports Commission has approved nearly $80 million worth of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, highlighting a significant expansion in the NIL market since June. This announcement comes alongside the debut report from NIL Go, which states that $79.8 million in deals have been cleared to date, with an additional $11 million currently tied up. The NCAA is also considering new reporting rules that would require high school athletes to disclose their NIL agreements prior to enrolling in college, marking a potential shift in how NIL deals are managed for incoming athletes.
