A series of tragic incidents on Interstate 25 in Denver has resulted in multiple fatalities and significant traffic disruptions. Early morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed near the I-25 and Yale Avenue interchange. Shortly thereafter, a fuel tanker crash occurred, spilling fuel and closing East Yale Avenue in both directions for several hours. The crash has severely impacted RTD light rail services in the southeast corridor, necessitating emergency repairs to the Yale Street bridge. Authorities report that at least one individual has died due to the tanker crash, and investigations are ongoing as traffic continues to be disrupted in the area.
