A rare East African crowned crane, which recently escaped from Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, Washington, has been successfully recovered after a two-day adventure. The crane, affectionately named Alice, was last seen near Lake Sammamish State Park, where she attracted attention while wandering with a group of blue herons. Following a massive search launched by the zoo, Alice has returned safely to her home, reuniting with her bird boyfriend. The incident has sparked interest and concern over the safety of endangered species in captivity.
