The United States is set to mediate a new round of peace talks aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. These trilateral discussions, scheduled for November 10-11 in Abu Dhabi, will involve representatives from Ukraine, Russia, and the US. US envoy Witkoff confirmed that this will be the first meeting of its kind since February, highlighting hopes for progress amidst ongoing tensions. Discussions are expected to focus on security guarantees and the prospects for a potential peace deal, with a careful approach to avoid demanding territorial concessions from Ukraine. Despite the ongoing fighting, both sides are preparing for negotiations, with the Kremlin stating that any initial talks should primarily involve the US, Russia, and Ukraine, while leaving the door open for European involvement in future discussions.
