World’s Oldest Person, Tomiko Itooka, Dies at 116
Tomiko Itooka, recognized as the world’s oldest person, has passed away in Japan at the age of 116. Born in 1908, she was celebrated for her longevity, which she attributed to a simple diet and a love for hiking. Following her death, the title of the world’s oldest person has now been passed to a Brazilian nun, who is 16 days younger than Itooka.
