Shawn Oliver, the Republican nominee for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, has suspended his campaign after being arrested for operating under the influence (OUI) following a five-car crash in New Bedford. The incident has sparked a wave of calls for his resignation from fellow party members, including Mike Minogue, who urged Oliver to quit the race. Despite suspending his campaign, Oliver remains on the ballot, raising questions about the implications of his arrest for the upcoming election.
