Yvonne ‘Missy’ Woods, a former DNA analyst for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been charged with 102 felonies for allegedly manipulating data and mishandling evidence in numerous cases, including significant sexual assault investigations. This scandal has led to the dismissal of dozens of cases and raised questions about the validity of over 500 forensic reports she was involved with. In light of these allegations, the CBI has hired an outside consulting firm to assess its forensic operations, while legal proceedings continue against Woods, who is facing multiple charges, including forgery.
