In a historic move, the Pentagon has confirmed that Nidal Hasan, responsible for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that claimed 13 lives, is scheduled to be executed by firing squad on December 3. This marks the first military execution by firing squad since World War II and raises questions about procedures surrounding the execution. President Trump has approved the use of the firing squad, reigniting debates over the death penalty and its application in military justice. As the Army prepares for the execution, concerns persist about the protocol and implications of this decision.
