As Israel approaches a critical election, the future of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hangs in the balance. Palestinians hope for a change in leadership as many Israelis express a dip in confidence about the electoral process. With significant numbers of Israelis living abroad returning to vote, Netanyahu faces mounting challenges from both local and expatriate voters. Competing candidates, including Gadi Eisenkot, are vying for power, yet the political landscape remains fragmented. Arab voter turnout could be pivotal, despite many candidates shunning Arab support. The election may not only decide the leadership of Israel but could also influence its foreign relationships and internal policies amidst ongoing regional tensions.
