The United Kingdom is set to deploy RAF Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia as part of an expanded military support initiative aimed at defending the kingdom against Houthi attacks. The defense missions will involve flying patrols over Saudi cities to enhance air security without engaging in offensive strikes. This move comes as Houthi attacks in the region have surged, prompting the UK to strengthen its commitment to ally Saudi Arabia. Officials have emphasized that these missions will be defensive in nature, highlighting a strategic shift in military support to protect against threats from Iran-backed Houthis.
