A series of earthquakes have been reported in Southern California, particularly around the Ontario area, with a significant 4.0-magnitude tremor rattling homes and businesses. Early morning quakes provided a 'pretty good jolt' to residents and were felt across the Inland Empire and Los Angeles regions. In addition, a slightly larger 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck south of the San Francisco Bay Area, affecting Monterey County and nearby regions. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported following these seismic events.
