Crews are currently battling multiple wildfires in the Gainesville and Alachua County area, with a significant 400-acre blaze reported near Gainesville Regional Airport. Due to the intensifying fire, evacuations have been ordered for nearby neighborhoods, and roads including State Road 26 have been closed. Fire response teams have reported that the State Road 26 wildfire is growing, now reaching 60 acres and causing haze to spread into Bradford County.
