Authorities Uncover Extensive Cross-Border Tunnel Between Mexico and the US
Mexican authorities have made significant discoveries along the US-Mexico border, unveiling a massive cross-border tunnel that extends from Tijuana to San Diego. The tunnel, measuring 1,933 feet in length, was reportedly used for the smuggling of drugs and weapons. In conjunction with this find, federal officials have seized over 1 ton of cocaine, valued at around $45 million, linked to the operations conducted through the tunnel. The entrance to the tunnel was cleverly concealed beneath a fake store in the Otay Mesa neighborhood. Four individuals have been charged in connection with this operation, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime across the border.
