Despite leadership changes, the Trump administration has decided to uphold these rigorous rules for corporate mergers and acquisitions. Acting Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust has also stated that the DOJ antitrust division will follow the 2023 M&A guidelines in ongoing investigations, ensuring consistency in merger reviews across federal regulatory bodies.
