Portland has seen a disturbing string of incidents involving the discovery of human remains in various locations in the downtown area. For the second time this week, human remains were located during a cleanup of homeless encampments, prompting the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) to initiate a suspicious death investigation. The remains were found in a garbage bag near the waterfront, raising further concerns among local authorities and community members. The police have confirmed that multiple sets of remains have been uncovered during this ongoing investigation, which has triggered a response from the homicide unit. As the investigation continues, both the PPB and the public await answers regarding the circumstances surrounding these tragic discoveries.
