An overnight operation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Northeast Memphis has led to more than 100 individuals being detained, according to an immigrant advocacy group. The operation, which focused on businesses along Macon Road, drew a significant federal presence to the area. Despite the scale of the raid, the Mayor stated that the Memphis Police Department did not participate in the ICE operation.
