Egypt has officially agreed to provide military support to Saudi Arabia in response to escalating Houthi attacks, which are believed to be backed by Iran. President Sisi has indicated a readiness to send troops if necessary, as discussions within the Egyptian parliament are ongoing regarding the authorization for military intervention. The National Defense Council of Egypt recently affirmed its commitment to assist Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the provision of all necessary support to enhance its defense capabilities. The potential military involvement comes amid regional concerns about the increasing aggressiveness of Houthi forces, which have threatened further destabilization in the area. Both nations are expected to coordinate on military strategies to mitigate these threats.
