Recently, a wave of guerilla violence in northeastern Colombia, particularly in the Catatumbo region, has resulted in the deaths of at least 60 individuals, triggering mass displacement and raising concerns about humanitarian conditions. The violence has primarily involved clashes between the ELN and FARC dissidents, as well as accusations of war crimes that have led the Colombian government to suspend peace talks with the ELN rebels.
