Boeing has reported significant financial results for the third quarter, including a loss of $5.4 billion attributed to delays in its 777X aircraft program, which has now been pushed back to 2027. Despite a revenue surge of 30% to $23.3 billion, driven by a 71% increase in 787 deliveries, the company faced a near $5 billion charge related to the postponed 777X jets. This marks the first instance of positive cash flow since previous financial difficulties, although the overall loss exceeded expectations. CEO Kelly Ortberg expressed disappointment over the ongoing issues with the 777X, which have overshadowed some of the progress made in cash management and operational improvements.
