Severe Storm Causes Multiple Collapses Along Santa Cruz Coast, Resulting in Rescues and Casualties
A major storm has severely impacted the California coast, particularly Santa Cruz, where the Santa Cruz Wharf and Pier have partially collapsed due to massive waves and high surf. The incidents led to three individuals falling into the ocean, all of whom were rescued. Tragically, the storm has also caused one death and left at least one person missing. The Capitola Village area has been closed, and evacuations have been ordered for nearby beaches. Authorities continue to warn residents and visitors to stay away from the coastline as the dangerous conditions persist.
