Turkey Responds with Strikes on PKK Targets After Deadly Terror Attack
In a series of retaliatory strikes, Turkey has targeted Kurdish militant positions in Syria and Iraq following a brutal terrorist attack on the Turkish defense company TUSAS near Ankara. The assault, which left at least five dead and 22 injured, involved heavily armed attackers who stormed the facility and detonated explosives. The Turkish interior minister has pointed to the PKK militants as responsible for the attack, which has drawn international condemnation and condolences, including from President Putin. As airstrikes continue for a second day, tensions are rising over the ongoing conflict with Kurdish groups in the region.
