The renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has faced significant scrutiny following a report revealing that the liner failed in 85 places due to flawed installation methods. After a lengthy repair process, which cost approximately $16 million, the pool is currently being refilled, sparking questions about its readiness to reopen. Despite claims from Trump that the renovations were nearly complete, inspections have uncovered numerous issues related to the construction work, leading to ongoing repairs. The situation has been exacerbated by reports of damage linked to vandalism, which Trump attributed to unauthorized actions. As the Reflecting Pool fills again after months of setbacks, the very future of its reclamation remains uncertain amid ongoing controversies.
