Massachusetts Colleges Introduce Tuition-Free Programs for Low-Income Families

Several colleges in Massachusetts, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brandeis University, have announced new tuition-free initiatives aimed at supporting families with limited financial means. Starting in 2025, MIT will waive tuition fees for undergraduates whose family income is below $200,000. Brandeis University is implementing a similar program for families earning $75,000 or less, also offering free tuition to alleviate financial barriers for students. These measures reflect a growing trend among Mass. colleges to provide financial relief and accessibility to higher education for eligible students.
