In a poignant ceremony, the remains of 19 Black Americans, which were taken to Germany for racist research nearly 150 years ago, have been repatriated and laid to rest in New Orleans. The memorial service, held at Dillard University, included a jazz funeral to honor these individuals, who were denied proper burial for generations.
