In a series of significant ceremonies, President Biden is set to award the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Valor to a number of military heroes and first responders. Among the recipients are seven US Army veterans recognized for their service in Vietnam and Korea, including Richard Cavazos, a Korean War hero. Additionally, the President will honor FDNY firefighters, local veterans, and Nashville police officers for their courageous acts during crises, including their response to the Covenant School shooting. These awards, celebrating bravery and valor, also include posthumous recognitions for several soldiers who demonstrated extraordinary heroism in past conflicts.
