Florida Airports Reopen After Hurricane Milton
After the passage of Hurricane Milton, several Florida airports are set to resume operations. Tampa International Airport (TPA) announced it will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, following damage assessments and cleanup efforts. Orlando International Airport (MCO) will also begin limited arrivals in the evening and resume departures the next day. Other airports like Southwest Florida International (RSW) in Fort Myers are planning to resume operations by 4 a.m. Friday. However, some airports sustained significant damage, with Melbourne Orlando International reporting a large hole in its roof, which has led to a suspension of commercial flight operations. Authorities continue to assess the situation, ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place as normal operations gradually return.
