The Baltimore County Council has officially named Maryland Senator Katherine Klausmeier as the new County Executive, replacing Johnny Olszewski. This decision comes after a series of delays, including a snowstorm that postponed the vote for the new executive. Klausmeier will serve in the role until 2026, taking over as Olszewski transitions to Congress. In the interim, D’Andrea Walker has been appointed as Acting Baltimore County Executive.
