Recent Russian airstrikes have resulted in devastating casualties across Ukraine, with reports indicating at least 20 fatalities in simultaneous attacks on cities, including Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned these strikes as a form of retaliation for the easing of diesel sanctions by the US, following a deal involving former President Trump and Russian officials. The strikes, particularly in residential areas of Zaporizhzhia, have led to numerous civilian casualties, including children, and have sparked widespread outrage. Despite ongoing discussions aimed at resolving the conflict, the recent surge in violence highlights the precarious security situation in the region.
