Minnesota and New Jersey Sue Glock Over Gun Modification
Minnesota and New Jersey have filed lawsuits against Glock, accusing the gun manufacturer of providing a switch that allows semi-automatic pistols to be easily converted into machine guns. The lawsuits raise concerns over the safety implications of such modifications, particularly in light of increasing incidents involving automatic firearms. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison highlighted the decision as a necessary response to the growing use of these ‘switches,’ while both states seek to halt the sale of Glock handguns equipped with this feature. Critics of the lawsuits argue that the actions are part of coordinated efforts against gun manufacturers amidst ongoing debates over gun control and public safety.
