Tropical Storm Fernand Forms in the Atlantic, No Immediate Threat to Land

Tropical Storm Fernand has officially formed in the Atlantic, with its current path taking it south of Bermuda. The storm is expected to track northward and is predicted to pass well east of Bermuda, posing no threat to the U.S. or Canada. As hurricane season progresses, meteorologists are also monitoring two additional systems in the tropics, one of which could develop into the next named storm this weekend. Despite the activity in the Atlantic, confidence remains high that neither Fernand nor the other systems will impact Florida.
