Harvard Researcher Kseniia Petrova Released After Months in Custody

A Russian-born Harvard researcher, Kseniia Petrova, who faced charges for allegedly smuggling frog embryos into the United States, has been released from federal custody after four months. A judge ordered her release while her case proceeds, allowing her to await trial on bail. Petrova, initially detained by ICE, has now walked out of the courthouse, although an indictment remains a possibility as the legal proceedings continue.
