Mexico recently arrested former Chihuahua prosecutor César Jáuregui, who is accused of treason for permitting unauthorized CIA operations during a drug raid. The arrest is part of an investigation into protocol violations and chain-of-command issues linked to a drug lab operation. Jáuregui, who once served under Governor Maru Campos, has sparked controversy over his alleged facilitation of US participation in law enforcement actions.
