Two US Brothers Charged in $1.7 Million Hamas Fundraising Scheme
Two brothers from Louisiana have been arrested and charged with a long-running scheme that allegedly raised $1.7 million for Hamas, using social media platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram to gather funds from U.S. donors. The FBI and NYPD were instrumental in exposing the operations, which included the brothers allegedly stating they had a network in New York for fundraising purposes. Another individual in Florida has also been charged for financing Hamas, with accusations stemming from inflammatory remarks made regarding violence against Jews. Prosecutors have unsealed charges in what they describe as a significant Hamas financing case.
