Additionally, more than $100 million in rewards has been made available for information on eight high-ranking cartel members. Recent charges have been brought against five leaders of the CJNG, linking them to drug trafficking, weapon offenses, and a multi-million dollar timeshare fraud scheme that exploited elderly Americans. Federal officials continue to emphasize the severity of these crimes and the need for public assistance in combating cartel activities.
