Spanish police, acting on a tip-off from U.S. authorities, have seized 6.5 tons of cocaine from a cargo ship near the Canary Islands. The operation, which involved the interception of the vessel 600 miles from the islands, resulted in the confiscation of approximately 6,500 kilograms of cocaine.
