Medrick Burnett Jr., a linebacker for Alabama A&M, has tragically passed away after sustaining a head injury during the Magic City Classic in Birmingham. Following the injury, there were conflicting reports about his condition, with the university initially announcing his death before retracting the statement and stating he was in stable condition. Sadly, confirmation of his death was later released by a coroner. He was only 20 years old and had previously been reported as being alive after the erroneous announcement by the university led to widespread misinformation.
