In a significant crackdown on dark web child abuse, the Justice Department has successfully shut down multiple sites involved in the sexual exploitation of children, which had amassed over 120,000 members and millions of files. This operation, dubbed ‘Operation Grayskull,’ has resulted in the conviction and sentencing of 18 offenders to a combined total of over 300 years in prison. Among those apprehended are individuals from various states, including a man from Nevada, who was identified as one of the top offenders. Furthermore, a significant number of managers, including individuals from Tennessee and Michigan, have received lengthy sentences for their roles in operating these illicit platforms. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by federal law enforcement to dismantle such heinous networks and protect vulnerable children.
